Crime in the Bay Area is spiking.
Police are saying robberies are indicative of a larger crime trend, while a shopkeeper in Glen Park was beaten and left for dead, and his employee kidnapped. Just two of many violent incidents happening here lately.
This weekend we encouraged Jonathan and Patrick to move up here. I would love having my brother in town. But as we drove around, telling them about the gang activity and the robberies, Patrick told me: "You can be pretty negative on this place."
Unfortunately, no. It's just being realistic.
