The Berkeley City Council is going to vote on whether there's a glut of memorial benches around these parts. In a city with a palpable homeless problem, infrastructure weaknesses (as Adam likes to point out, University Avenue -- a major city street -- is not slated to be repaved until 2010), and various other dilemmas, it's nice to know where the City Council's priorities lie: Up their (and our collective) asses.
