Prop 8 upheld

It is a dark fucking day to be a Californian.

Why does one group get to decide everyone else's rights? How does same-sex marriage hurt anyone?

I've wanted to leave this state for a while and I feel even more strongly about it today. California, you suck ass.

I think the government should instead rule on specific marriages to determine whether they should be allowed. Something like, "No, you two are too repellent for your breeding to be condoned."

Of course, that would leave us with a lot of single politicians.

And single corporate lawyers, and maybe a dentist or two.

While I'm upset about this, I've run across a couple of very recent opinion pieces that make me feel a bit better.

Now the real question is how do we get even with the fucking Mormons for screwing our state over? First they turn the Boy Scouts homophobic (which is comparable to turning the Village People homophobic) and now this. We owe those corpse-baptizing nipple-pad freaks some serious fucking payback.

I kind of anticipated yesterday's ruling, so not any more upset about it than I am about Prop 8 in general ... although I am angry at the legal fuck-job we've been handed.

I did, however, have a big laugh at the Prop 8 supporter on the radio yesterday who thought everybody should just drop the subject now and move on, it's over. I almost peed.

PS my word verification = "nession" :-)
