Ebert on Showgirls

It contains so much nudity that the sexy parts are when the girls put on their clothes. It contains no true eroticism, however, and that's why I think it reflects a grounding in sexual fantasy: Eroticism requires a mental connection between two people, while masturbation requires only the other person's image.

Another reason I love Ebert!

The man is freakin brilliant, even (especially) when describing a low-rent, big-budget, would-be yankfest such as Showgirls. Adam and I saw this beaut tonight at Peaches Christ's Midnight Mass. While there, we also celebrated the Fourth of July while watching a tranny pull an American flag out her ...

And to all, a good night.
