After Adam's improv class, we went to the perennial favorite, Manpuku. Over udon (me) and Japanese curry (him), he said something great. I'm paraphrasing here, but essentially he said one of the major factors that brought us together is that we both make happiness a priority. He also told me that I'm good at pushing him to do offbeat things that make him (and me as well) happy, that I don't let him stagnate.
Later, I said I didn't consider myself a typical achiever. He said: "You're an achiever all right -- on your own terms." I like that.
